Here’s The ‘Fortnite’ Chapter 2, Season 2 Tier 100 Battle Pass Skin Which Has A Secret Power

Fortnite is back with a “Top Secret” themed battle pass for Chapter 2, Season 2, and with it comes a rather extensive battle pass full of a lot of goodies. All skins in the pass have a normal, default variant, but for many of them give you the option to choose between “Ghost” and “Shadow” teams, kind of a Spy vs. Spy, black vs. white aesthetic vibe.

While the best skin of the bunch may be the jacked cat, Meowscles, he is not the tier 100 skin. Rather that would be Midas, who looks like he’s an evil billionaire mastermind supervillain, but maybe he’s a good guy if you make him be on Team Ghost? I’m not sure.

Anyway, he is your tier 100 skin this time around, and he comes with two variants like many of the others. Both of them turn his skin to complete and they just change the color of his clothes.

But the best part about Midas? He has a secret superpower. Literally, the Midas touch.

A bonus this season is that the higher tier battle pass skin have a “special” bonus attached to them. Meowscles has a custom flex emote, Tina has an emote that turns her cel-shaded. But Midas? Midas turns the guns and vehicles he uses gold for the duration of the match. I had seen a bunch of leaked gold guns and vehicles from the datamine, and now that makes total sense, that they’re versions made for him and his magic touch.

I love the idea of giving skins their own special unique powers, and I hope to see more of this in the future, not just on the battle pass but all across the store as well. I am still far away from unlocking Midas myself (ain’t no way I’m gonna pay my way through this entire battle pass to get him now), but that sounds like a worthy tier 100 power if you ask me, while the others are more low key like emotes and I think a special pet. The Brutus skin says you “pull his pickaxes right out of his back bling” so that may be some special animation thing they’ve done just for him. Also in the battle pass, not directly attached to Tina, but in her theme, is the first glider you can actually ride, her Bombs Away rocket. I expect to see more of those in the future, just like how double pickaxes are common now.

Anyway, pretty cool pass if you ask me, probably one of the better ones in a while. More to come, stay tuned.
